The Heart of your Home is a special place where family and friends gather. It is where memories are made and shared. It is the place where you come together as a family.
For my family, it is the kitchen.
You know what I'm talking about?! Every family gathering we have ends up with everyone standing around the kitchen, laughing and sharing. Holidays are especially crowded in the kitchen, between the conversations and the great food, which everyone has to grab a nibble of, the kitchen is full. With an "immediate family" of about 31 and growing, that is one CROWDED KITCHEN.
Samsung wants to know, "Where is the Heart of your Home?" That's right, they are asking us TwitterMoms to reach out to YOU and find out Where the Heart of YOUR Home is!
So, what are you waiting for? Leave me a comment here, please, then run by TwitterMoms and find out how you can participate in the Samsung's "Where is the Heart of Your Home" contest and have a chance to:
WIN a Samsung Washer and Dryer

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 244 Newer› Newest»Hi Gena! The kitchen is without a doubt THE place, especially when the kids were teens. It was the gathering place of all their friends too - cost me a fortune in pizza and pop but well worth it!
Hi gena, for us it's the kitchen but that's because on "the island" that's where everyone goes. They sit in the kitchen for beers, and for food and for talking. The phone is in the kitchen so you sit down and chat it up with your family that live away from home, and bake a few cookies or a cake while you're there. You load up the dishwasher and chat away, now we plug the laptop in and surf for recipes too and maybe even chat up a few friends there too. Kitchen!
So true! great post I participated as well but can't get the button code off the site not sure why. Can u email it to me nightowl mama at comcast dot net (Thank u)
and come back and leave me a comment too please :) http://nightowlmama.blogspot.com/2009/09/samsung-washer-and-dryer-giveaway.html
U must of came by when I was writing it you posted on the one bellow :)
THe heart of our home is our kitchen. We spend a lot of time in there as a family from homework to cooking to holidays. I love every minute of it.
You know how much I love to eat, Gena... SO--you know that it's the kitchen where our hearts are also. The smells that come from the kitchen spread throughout the entire home.... I love it the most at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Hugs,
Betsy
Definitely the kitchen! JJ and I love to cook together, so we spend alot of our quality time in there.
And it's so much fun!
We have a big family room, kitchen, nook area where everyone hangs out, of course we send all the kids outside in the summer & upstairs to the bonus room in the winter!
Happy VGNO!
Most Def. the living room... I play games like crazy!! I love to just sit and play. It is very Relaxing.
Definitely our family room/dinette/kitchen area. It's all kind of open and we all hang out in there!
Well, I'm not original at all when I say the heart of our home is the kitchen. (Now, if only it fit more than one person! It gets very crowded in there.)
And about what I found when I opened the door... my little Katie covered in Desitin. COVERED.
I could not believe how difficult it was to get off of her skin.
Happy VGNO!
I'm torn between the kitchen and the couch in the family room. I sit on the couch in the morning with the kids and snuggle them. And on Friday's the whole family sits down to watch a movie.
The heart of my home is where the computer and tv are.
And I actually have a Samsung monitor, tv and cell phone. LOL
Unfortunately our kitchen is tiny, but we tend to congregate in our living room.
The heart of our home alternates between our kitchen and the Summer House (which was originally the Summer Kitchen for our 1817 house) :) So I guess universally it would be 'kitchen'. ;)
Happy VGNO! :)
The heart of our home....the kitchen...and the patio.
Happy VGNO
Mainly the kitchen, but spills out to the adjourning living room +/or the porch off the kitchen.
Have a Happy VGNO!
The heart of our home is definitely the kitchen. My husband and I just bought my childhood home from my grandmother last May. It's so amazing each time I walk into it with my son and just think of all the memories that have been making taking those same exact steps! ;)

I have to say the heart of our home is the kitchen. It is where we all seem to congregate and talk about the days events, tomorrows plans, etc. It is where we work as a team to fix dinner, clean up, do homework, make each other laugh when we've had a bad day, etc. Yes, I'd have to say the kitchen is most definitely the heart of our home.
On holidays, we try to visit the heart of someone else's home lol ..we have a big family too, but not 31 big in the "immediate" family (wow!).
The heart of our home is the kitchen too. In the living room we play games with the kids and watch television, but the kitchen is quieter. It is where we eat meals together and talk about the day.
Although we don't spend the most time there, the kitchen is where we learn about one another. It is a place to share our thoughts and feelings.
The heart of our home happens to be our 'play area'. That's because it's in the middle of all the other rooms. You can talk to everyone who is in the living room, and the computer room. So sitting there keeps you in touch with everyone. Plus all the good heat from the wood stove is there!
Good luck with this, I wish my home felt more heart...maybe when it is clean it will be a heart in the living room/kitchen place.
I'm like you Gena, the heart of our home is also the kitchen. Everyone always gathers there and there are always good things being made there. Memories and food.
BTW, I enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work!
Renee @kudoskookies
For the filming of this month's episode of 'The Playdate,' we brought the camera man inside our home... to our favorite 'hang out' spots. The heart of our home is definitely the kitchen.... and our playroom/homeschool room!
I would have to say it is the kitchen. I love to cook and my family loves to hang out there.
Ours is the family room. We read, play and watch movies as a family!
What a great questions; really made me think.
My office is my brain for sure and I love it and my "muscles" are in my studio where I have my gym, my photography but my heart is in my husband's office(s).
the kitchen is also the heart of our home. thanks
I would say the kitchen as well!
Thanks for the comment love! We both agree its definitely the kitchen.
Have fun making memories around your table!
~*~ please vote for my daughters cutest wiggly face on facebook. (daily) Thanks! http://bit.ly/2tARKD ~*~
Thanks for stopping by to comment!
Thanks for the comment!....Here is one for you.
www.ourpromisedson.blogspot.com
OUrs is a combo of living area and kitchen. It is all open and we often have gatherings and line the counter with food and drinks and people mingle from kitchen to living room. It is very important to have good appliances for their appearance as well as they way they work
Besides the kitchen I have to say the family room because of the fireplace
Good Luck! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my post like this!
the kitchen is our heart too!
Deinitely our kitchen/family room area is our heart... I love that people say our home is friendly and comfortable.

Wish I had a blog! linda@larryblackandassoc.com
It was the kitchen before we moved into a bigger house. Now its the game room. We have an air hockey table and big tv down there. Even I love that room!
The heart of our home is our kitchen. I love to cook and we enjoy meals together. It is our gathering spot!

The kitchen certainly is the heart of the home for the family and probably the hub when we have company. The family room is the big gathering place where family and friends have room to sit and talk/eat/play games.
